According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam's exports to these two major markets have seen significant growth.
Trade exchanges between Vietnam and Australia have continued to see a surplus. While two-way trade with New Zealand from 2011 to 2016 increased by about 26.7% per year.
These are two potential export markets for Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, fishery, electronics, textiles and footwear. In contrast, imported goods have been comprised mainly of common metals, coal, wheat, cotton, milk and dairy products.
