According to the victims, they set sail on June 28th and planned to return home on July 1st, however, due to a dead battery, the crew were unable to restart their engine.
Luckily, they were spotted by Vietnamese fishermen and received help to restart the engine at 6 pm on July 9th. The Malaysian fishermen have returned home to Kuala Dungun Jetty, Malaysia and underwent medical examinations in local hospitals.
