Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City need to focus on researching and developing the project on zoning and limiting motorbike activities, with the goal of limiting or stopping the operation of motorbikes in several districts after 2030.
This is part of the Government’s Resolution 48 on enhancing traffic order and safety and combating traffic congestion in the 2022-2025 period.
The aforementioned cities must prioritize resources for developing a mass public transport system to achieve the target of increasing the rate of public transport usage to about 35% by 2025.
At the same time, the cities must also use smart traffic technology to deal and manage traffic jams, and prevent them from lasting more than 30 minutes.
