40 mln screened under health programme
A total of 40 million people nationwide have undergone health check-ups and screenings by the end of August, as part of an effort to enable early disease detection and continuous health management, according to the Ministry of Health.

Screenings found about 30% of people had chronic conditions, dental, eye, neurological, or cancer-related issues.

Several localities, including Dong Thap, Lai Chau, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Dak Lak, and Quang Ninh, achieved strong results, though progress varied elsewhere due to differing resources and planning timelines.

Results are being updated to the Electronic Health Book, with over 34 million records added on VNeID, laying the groundwork for ongoing nationwide health tracking.
