Their health conditions have stabilised after hours adrift at sea. The fishing boat, owned by Phạm Phú Thành, resident of Thăng Bình District in Quảng Nam Province, was sunk by an unidentified foreign vessel in waters off Vietnam’s Paracel Archipelago at 11pm on Tuesday. The fishermen used an ICOM device to inform rescuers of their situation. At 1am on Thursday, a rescue boat found the 34 fishermen and brought them to shore.
