Vietnam has actively contributed to promoting the rule of law at the international level, as well as supporting the legal diplomatic process, and promoting the codification and development of international law. These were the issues on focus at the talk "Vietnam 2016 - International law year" held at the Diplomatic Academy on the 29th of December. The speakers reviewed important events related to the international law of Vietnam in 2016.
In 2016, it was also the first time Vietnam hosted the Asian Society of International Law Conference, and officially became a member state of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO). With the progress of international law industry, experts agreed Vietnam will have more legal tools to be able to implement foreign policies for peace and stability, and for the sustainable development of the country.
