Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen’s family, who live in Ho Chi Minh City’s famous Cho Lon area, renowned for its large Vietnamese Chinese community, usually go out to welcome lantern festival every year.
"We come here every year. As we live with the Chinese community, we want our children to understand Chinese cultural traditions", Nguyen Thi Ngoc Duyen, living in District 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, said.
Connection and integration is the theme of the festival, with the event hosting both Vietnamese and Chinese traditional games. Both adults and children enjoy the activities.
This community festival was held at several places with an aim to spread joy, peace, luck, and happiness to everyone.
