The official broadcasting of VTV4HD channel continues to become one of the most important marks in the success of VTV during the process of broadcasting HD channels in order to improve the quality of TV broadcasting transmission. With this positive change, VTV4’s programs will be enhanced in term of quality in sound and images under HD standard.
The Program Production Technique Centre in VTV has already prepared for broadcasting VTV4HD channel since March 2015. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tue - Deputy Director of Program Production Technique Centre in VTV, the current news system of VTV4 channel had a separate studio (S5) being upgraded to supply for HD standard recording. VTV has also invested in technical equipment as well as training for reporters, editors, cameramen of the Department of Television for Foreign Service.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tue, VTV continues to deploy broadcasting abroad in HD. However, VTV still needs more time to improve. Currently, Program Production Technique Centre has just solved the problem of emitting VTV4 signal in HD from VTV. Therefore, it depends on the transmission channels to help audiences watch VTV4 in HD.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tue added that in the plan of VTV, there would be 6 HD channels broadcasted including 5 HD channels at present (VTV1HD, VTV2HD, VTV3HD, VTV4HD and VTV6HD). VTV5 channel (Ethnic Language Television channel) has been in the process of preparation.
According to Ms. Tran Ngoc Bich - Manager of Program Office, Department of Television for Foreign Service, VTV4 had an actively preparation process of HD broadcasting for 3 to 4 months. The broadcasting in HD has led to many changes in the manufacturing process such as: production processes of news, engineering equipment systems and broadcasting management system with new technologies.
“The HD broadcasting abroad of VTV4 will contribute to empowering the position of VTV’s foreign television channels in near future. VTV4’s programs will has high image quality which is equivalent to those of famous channels in the world. Over recent years, there have been many attempts in changing content and form of expression in VTV4. Therefore, broadcasting in HD will increase the attractiveness of VTV4 to abroad audiences”, said Ms. Tran Bich Ngoc.
According to Mr. Thai Pham Hong Tuan, Deputy Head of Editor - Director of VTV4’s Programs Office, Editorial Secretariat Board in VTV, in the process of preparing for broadcasting VTV4HD, Editor- Director of VTV4’s Programs Office has closely coordinated with Program Production Technique Centre in VTV. At the same time, Editor- Director of VTV4’s Programs Office focused on preparing to grasp new technologies quickly and ensure that VTV4HD channel is broadcasted on time.
