This helps to maintain Vietnam’s position as the world’s top cashew exporter for the tenth year in a row. At a conference on the 2016 cashew production report organised by the Vietnam Cashew Association (Vinacas) on March 4th, cashew exports accounted for 9% of Vietnam’s total export revenue in agriculture.
In 2015, cashew export turnover reached US$2.5 billion, an increase by 10% as compared with 2014. The industry has continued to hold 50 percent of the global cashew nut trade value.
Currently, Vietnam cashew exports are expanding to 80 nations across the globe, including main markets such as the United States, China and European countries.
