VTV.vn - The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports of steel billets and coated steel, particularly from China and South Korea.

The investigation has been initiated in the wake of a complaint lodged by a group of four domestic steelmakers, namely China Steel Sumikin Vietnam, Southern Steel Corp., Nam Kim JSC, and Dong A Steel JSC.

These companies complained that imported steel from China, Hong Kong and South Korea is sold so cheap on the Vietnamese market that it is hurting domestic steel enterprises.
