The fair offers consumers a wide array of quality products including food and beverage; fashion and jewelry; household and kitchenware; clothing and textiles; cosmetics; auto parts; and toiletries.
The show marked its opening with a festive ceremony as guests were treated to a traditional Thai dance. Ponpimon Petcharakul, a trade counsellor at the Thai Embassy in Hanoi kicked off the program and officially welcomed guests to the event.
In his opening remarks, he highlighted the close ties between Thailand and Vietnam when it comes to trade. He expressed his delight on the rise of interest of Vietnam consumers and entrepreneurs in Thai products.
Also present at the ceremony was Nguyen Phuc Nam, deputy head of the Asia-Pacific Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In his speech he thanked Thai entrepreneurs, producers and exporters for taking the opportunity to showcase their products in Vietnam.
Vietnam and Thailand, he noted, play a very important role in the development and success of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) as two of the fastest growing economies in the region.
He added that Thailand is the largest trading partner of Vietnam in the AEC with the commercial and services trade of Vietnam having surged 8.3% in 2015 and another 5% in the first six months of 2016.
