The first consumer paper product applying circular economy concept

SCG Packaging – a business unit of the regional leading conglomerate SCG has launched its first line of consumer paper products - Doozypack Paper Playhouse for Vietnam market. The product manifests SCG’s commitment to pursue circular economy concept in manufacturing, to better serve the needs of its consumers today and the future.

The economic development in Vietnam in the past few years has resulted in an increasing demand of consumers for safe, high quality and eco-friendly products. According to the latest research, 80 percent of Vietnamese consumers are willing to pay more for products with “green” and “clean” commitment and made from environmentally friendly materials.

The Doozypack Paper Playhouse is created by SCG to provide a safe and exciting indoor playground for preschool children up to 8 years old. It is designed to unleash the children’s creativity with pre-printed cartoon visuals for coloring and a close-to-reality size that intrigues the curiosity of the little kids. Especially, during Covid-19, this playhouse will ease the worry of parents over their kids using too much digital devices or not being able to play outside.

“The Doozypack Paper Playhouse is suitable for little ages as it is made from safe materials and with interesting design. Parents can also participate in the playing with their kids, which strengthens family bonding and makes time at home more meaningful during the social distancing.”, add Mr. Ekarach Sinnarong.

Interestingly, this innovative design, amongst other products of SCG paper packaging is made with circular economy concept. In which, after usage, the products can be collected and recycled at Vina Kraft Paper – a factory of SCG in Binh Duong province into paper materials that can be used to produce the new products in the next circle.

Beside this first B2C innovation, SCG Packaging also offers a wide variety of B2B products using recycled materials including paper boxes, paper bags, paper promotion packaging and so forth.
