Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to spend 220 billion VND, or 9.8 million USD, from the 2015 State budget reserve to support 9 localities in Northern Vietnam in repairing damage caused by floods that occurred from July 24th to August 6th of this year.
Specifically, Quang Ninh province will receive more than 4.4 million USD; Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, and Thanh Hoa 672 thousand USD each; Dien Bien and Ha Giang, 896 thousand USD each; and Lai Chau and Son La, 448 thousand USD each. The Prime Minister has assigned people's committees in these localities to allocate funds to best tackle the aftermath of the floods.
