The event was jointly held by Kinh te & Do thi (Economic & Urban) Newspaper, ActionAid International Vietnam and Aid for Social Protection Programme Foundation Vietnam (AFV).
Based on the success of the “Silent Contributions” contest held for three seasons, this year has been upgraded to a communication programme, with long-term goals of raising public awareness of difficulties facing female workers and honouring silent contributions of individuals and collectives in support of female workers and disadvantaged people, according to Editor-in-Chief of Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Loi.
The communication programme is expected to present 36 awards to press works by professional and amateur authors, with a total value of nearly 240 million VND.
Contest entries should focus on featuring the issue of ensuring general rights for workers, especially female workers in the informal economic sector and vulnerable groups in society, such as women, children, and people with disabilities.
The programme will receive entries published in the media from January 1 to October 30, 2024.
