Held in 3 days (from March 15th to 17th, 2024) under the theme "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering and Innovating for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and the People", the National Press Festival 2024 was a great success.
Present at the closing ceremony were: Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Trần Lưu Quang, Deputy Prime Minister; Lê Quốc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association; Lê Ngọc Quang, General Director of Vietnam Television; Nguyễn Hồ Hải, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee...
According to Mr. Nguyễn Đức Lợi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association, Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Press Festival 2024, for the first time, the National Press Festival was held in the southern part of the country, attracting 120 booths displaying outstanding press publications, with the participation of 63 provincial and municipal journalists' associations, more than 300 central and local press agencies, and major journalism training institutions nationwide.

Hundreds of media outlets, journalist associations, media training and management institutions have gathered at the National Press Festivalto display and introduce remarkable press products, advanced technological equipment, modern journalism techniques, and rich journalistic training content. This is truly a convergence of the outstanding cultural and spiritual values of journalists nationwide.
The Head of the Organizing Committee of the National Press Festival added in 3 days, thousands of journalists, numerous residents of Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces, along with tourists, came to see and enjoy excellent press products. They participated in various forums at the National Press Forum and experienced dynamic and attractive cultural and artistic activities. The spirit of interaction and exchange spirit during the festival has strengthened the ties between among journalists, press agencies, and the public. Visitors to the festival were fascinated by the overview of contemporary Vietnamese journalism in terms of professionalism, humanity, and modernity, especially the special exhibition "Vietnamese Revolutionary Press 1925-2024: 99 Professional Stories" organized by the Vietnam Press Museum, which tells the stories of dedication, sacrifice, labor, and creativity of generations of journalists and soldiers.
Nguyễn Đức Lợi affirmed that the success of the National Press Festival clearly reflects the result of solidarity among press agencies, management institutions, and journalism authorities in promoting innovation and creativity in journalism. They aim towards building a modern, professional and humane press system to better serve the country and the people. This is also the message conveyed by the theme of this year's National Press Festival: “Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovating for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and the People”.
