On this occasion, the Vietnam Red Cross and the Red Cross Ho Chi Minh City launched a campaign to welcome the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Red Cross for the term of 2017 - 2022.
Using the theme: "For everyone, everywhere," the campaign has attracted the participation of more than 1,000 volunteers from all 24 districts of Ho Chi Minh City. The Red Cross Society of HCM City has successfully called for more than 200,000 units of blood, 97% of which is clean blood, accounting for 17% of the total blood nationwide.
The HCMC Red Cross also successfully called for donation and support for flood victims in the Central region of Vietnam last October.
