It's been more than 25 years since the Ha Tinh Province Border Guard discovered the Chứt people living in caves in the middle of the Truong Son range. Their lives have had many positive changes since then such as settling down after being a nomadic tribe. This year, the chứt people are preparing for Tet in a joyous way.
The Chứt ethnic people eliminating old and outdated customs was a process. However, thanks to the persistence and determination of the government - especially the officers and border guards in recent years - the economy and society of the Chứt people as a whole has improved greatly.
