The Central region of Vietnam offers diverse and high-quality dishes and food, however, promoting the brand of local cuisine as a means to developing tourism is proving a challenge for tour providers.
Hue-Style Vermicelli with Beef, Royal Hue Rice, Hue pies and cakes, Quang Noodles, Hoi An Noodles, vermicelli with fish in Da Nang, vermicelli with beef in Phu Yen. These are some of the specialty foods of the Central region that tourists should not miss when visiting. The taste of these dishes has greatly enriched the experience of tourists during their time here.
Many initiatives and recommendations have already been made. However, all parties, especially tour providers and policy makers, need to further efforts to make cuisine tourism in the Central region a focus of the national tourism development roadmap.
