The "Vietnamese Goods for Vietnamese Consumers" programme for 2026–2030 has been approved by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc.
The programme aims to ensure that Vietnamese products account for more than 80 per cent of goods sold in domestic supermarkets and shopping centres. The programme also seeks to expand e-commerce and stimulate domestic consumption.
It sets a further target of keeping Vietnamese goods above 60 per cent of products sold through traditional retail channels, while domestic sales of Vietnamese consumer goods are expected to grow by an average of 12-15 per cent annually.
In addition, the programme aims for over 70 per cent of consumer goods producers to adopt e-commerce. It also targets 45 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises in the trade sector to join major domestic and international e-commerce platforms.
