National Assembly reviews pension payment regulations

In the morning session, the Deputies also heard a report on Article 60 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance, presented by Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen. The National Assembly is expected to amend Article 60 to introduce lump-sum pension payments.

This request was put forward by a proportion of the nation's workforce, who do not agree with the current monthly payments. Addressing deputies afterwards,Truong Thi Mai, Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Social Affairs Committee, said that most of the committee members agreed with the proposed amendment.
