Petrol prices in Viet Nam fell sharply on November 1 as the Government cut the special consumption tax on petrol to zero.
Under Government Resolution No. 45, the measure will remain in effect until March 31, 2027.
Following the adjustment, the price of E5 RON92 petrol fell by around seven US cents to a maximum of 94 cents per litre. Meanwhile, the price of E10 RON95 petrol fell by about six cents to no more than 94 cents per litre.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade says domestic petrol prices remain lower than those in some neighbouring countries.
