In terms of trade, Vietnam's import-export turnover reached 945 billion US dollars by October 15th of this year, just 55 billion US dollars shy of the one-trillion-dollar mark.
With trade flows remaining strong, the milestone could be reached as early as this month. Exports rose 25.9% year on year to US$463.7 billion, while imports increased 37.2% to US$481.37 billion
The sharp rise in both figures highlights expanding trade flows, while underscoring the need to monitor the balance between imported production inputs and finished goods exports.
