After the preliminary and final round, the Award Council of National Press Award XIII - 2018 has selected some outstanding works for being awarded, including 6 prizes A, 24 prizes B, 42 prizes C and 34 consolation prizes.
Accordingly, the Journalist Association of Vietnam Television has won 5 awards including:
- “Young Officer – Lessons from being forced to mature” (Can bo tre – Bai hoc tu su ep chin) by a group of author Hoang Thi Quynh Trang, Nguyen Viet Cuong, Vu Duc Thuan, Pham Quang Nam won prize B in the category of news, report, chronicle (Television) category.
- “Always shining the patriotic emulation call” (Sang mai Loi keu goi thi dua ai quoc) by authors Bui Thu Thuy, Phung Ngoc Tram, Nguyen Diep Chi, Bui Thai Duong won Prize B in the category of omment and talkshow, .
- “Another way of saying thank you” (Thay loi tri an – Cong hien) by a group of author Trinh Quoc Dong, Lo Thuy Linh, Nguyen Phuong, Nguyen Hoang Lam, Nguyen Tai Viet won prize C in the category of comment and talkshow .
- “Meetings in prison” (Nhung cuoc gap trong tu) by a group of author Dang Diem Quynh, Tran Quang Minh, Pham Bach Duong, Dao Huong Anh, Truong Thi Trang won prize C for Documentary category.
- “Win and lose” (Duoc va mat) of a group of author Nguyen Thi Thu Dung and Nguyen Duc Anh won the consolation prize of Documentary category.
This year award saw the largest number of participating works with more than 1.600 submitted to National Journalist Award. It is also the second consecutive years that 63 journalists associations coming from all provinces submitted their entries. Furthermore, this year is the first year that the Award Council established the appraisal team to give opinions positively and independently.
Along with the familiar topics such as history, culture, security, and defense, good people doing good things, new angles of reporting, this year, many works have followed closely the burning issues in society. Thereby showing that the journalists play an important role and contribute to set the orientation of the economic development policies in the industrial revolution 4.0.
The National Journalist Award XIII 2018 has shown the great professionalism through a series of reports being awarded, many from printed press. lThe works have been done elaborately by press agencies. Electronic newspapers also spent resources in creating works under new and modern form such as long-form and mega-story..
