The summit reviewed the application of information and technology in socio-economic development during the past decade. It also discussed solutions on fostering the role of information technology to achieve the United Nation’s sustainable development goals.
Vietnam delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong. At the event, Vietnam was highlighted for attempts to apply information and technology in socio-economic development.
UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon earlier sent a message to the Boston Global Forum to welcome the forum’s initiatives on cyber-security issue to coincide with Global Cyber Security Day on December 12th.
