Vietnam to fulfill UN’s recommendations on ensuring human rights

VTV.vn - At Vietnam’s review session on its human rights implementation at United Nations last year, the country received over 200 recommendations to improve its situation.

Ever since, the government has made many efforts to implement these recommendations. In this week’s Vietnam in close-up, let’s see what changes have been made in 2 of the most common suggestions: the rights of LGBT people and freedom of expression.

The amendment of laws in accordance with UN standards shows Vietnam’s determination and strong responsibility as a member of the UN Human Rights Council. It is also the significant change in conception representing the country’s efforts to ensure human rights.
