The National Foreign Language Project 2020 was approved in 2008 and implemented in 63 provinces. This project provides training to English language teachers, so they can improve their skills and learn more modern teaching methods.
Since 2010, the University of Languages and International Studies began applying the National Foreign Language Project 2020 by creating standard requirements for graduating students. The school has adopted the Vietnamese Standard Proficiency Test – which is an assessment model for graduated students.
After a year of implementation, over 2,500 students have participated in this examination at University of Languages and International Studies. The proficiency test has been formally applied since 2014 on a national scale and helped students to improve their foreign language skills.
