Recovery efforts ongoing in Quang Ninh province

280 of the 1,500 tourists left stranded on Co To island have been taken to the mainland. Authorities are also striving to rescue the remaining tourists.

In Van Don District, one of the most severely affected areas, local people have been moved to higher positions. However, they will still have to deal with how to replacetheir property. Rescue workers have managed to reach people in the region to supply food and water.
