Largest brain tumour operation performed in Hue

The tumour, which is as big as an orange, required 15 hours surgery to be removed from 35 year-old  Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan from Lệ Thủy, Quảng Bình Province. The record-breaking long operation marked a breakthrough in Neurosurgery and Anesthesiology for Hue Medical University Hospital based on the size of the tumour removed. This success also gives hopes to many brain tumour patients in Thua Thien Hue and the Central Highland region.
