VTV.vn - The Mekong Delta is not the only region to suffer from drought. Water shortages are becoming an increasingly severe problem in reservoirs in many central provinces.

To maintain sufficient water for the summer-autumn crop, Quang Nam Province has stopped discharging water from its reservoirs. Earlier, many hydropower plants stopped generating electricity.

Reservoirs in A Vuong hydropower plant now only holds 65% of its capacity, despite the plant stopping electricity generation late last year. The peak of the drought this year is expected to fall in July and August.
