Ban flower festival fascinates visitors

The Festival draws the participation of eight northwestern provinces and their neighbours from northern Laos and northeastern Thailand.

A wide range of activities will be held during the event, including a photo contest on the Ban flower, the traditional dances of some ethnic groups, a cultural exhibition, and folk games.

Ban flower, scientifically known as Bauhinia Variegata, is typical to the northern mountainous region of Vietnam, and often blossoms in spring.
