2015 rice output hits record

VTV.vn - The Northern provinces harvested a bumper rice crop in this year’s summer and summer-autumn season, with the highest-ever record of output despite difficulties in weather, the market, and agricultural materials.

Specifically, the crops' output rose by 20 to 90 kilograms per hectare, compared with the same period last year.

The proportion of high-yielding rice areas is said to be growing fast and sustainably, which is suitable for the restructuring plan of the rice sector. Hybrid rice also remains stable.
