Vietnam - US head for enhanced co-operation
VTV.vn - The two sides reaffirmed co-operation between the two countries while US Secretary of State John Kerry expressed his hope to enhancing the relation between Vietnam and the US in the future.

 US Secretary of State John Kerry attended the Partners for Development – 20 years of Vietnam - US Relations conference in Hanoi on Friday as part of his official visit to Vietnam. At the conference, the two sides reaffirmed co-operation between the two countries while Kerry expressed his hope to enhancing the relation between Vietnam and the US in the future.

John Kerry also reviewed milestones during the 20 years of Vietnamese - US ties such as the Lower Mekong Initiative, negotiations over the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, and especially security co-operation. Vietnam also has full US support in its United Nation Peacekeeping activities.

The US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke to Vietnamese youngsters of Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative on the establishment of a Fulbright University campus and Vietnam – US relations.

John Kerry said that he was impressed by the quality of the questions. The establishment of Fulbright University in Vietnam will provide a wider range of academic options for Vietnamese students. The US Secretary of State said that foreign investors would invest more in Vietnam when the quality of Vietnam’s workforce improved. He claimed the Fulbright University could provide Vietnamese students with not only knowledge but also new ways of thinking.
