Vietnam to set up real estate database

The proposal was hailed as the highlight of a recently issued government decree about the development, management and use of the housing and real estate market information system.

The database will be developed on a nationwide scale and will provide reliable market information about the real estate market for state management and socio-economic development. In Vietnam, realestate statistics are still unreliable, especially regarding the number of transactions. Therefore the database is expected to go some way towards resolving these issues.
