Vietnam localities to strengthen ties with China’s Guangxi
VTV.vn - Onto Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s on-going visit to China. The deputy PM on Thursday met the secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Peng Qinghua.

At the talks, the Vietnamese leader assured the host that the Vietnamese party and state were keen to promote ties between Vietnamese localities and Guangxi. He called on both sides to weather difficulties and facilitate the import of Vietnamese farm produce to China, including Guangxi. After the meeting, Deputy PM Phuc witnessed the signing of a friendship agreement between Ho Chi Minh City and the Chinese Autonomous Region of Zhuang.

Also during his time in Guangxi, China, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the opening ceremony of the 2015 China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) in the Chinese city of Nanning on Friday.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke highly of the role played by such events in promoting ties between ASEAN and China along with initiatives boosting economic links and regional connectivity. More than 100 Vietnamese businesses are showcasing their products and services at over 200 booths at the China-ASEAN Expo, being the largest group of exhibitors from an ASEAN nation to attend the 12th annual event. The expo, which is hosting over 2,200 enterprises from China and ASEAN, is scheduled to run until Monday.
