Ho Chi Minh City People Committee Chairman elected

The election took place in Ho Chi Minh City on December 11th during the last day of the municipal People’s Council’s 20th session. 

Born in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre he previously held positions of Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Secretary of the Ben Tre Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ben Tre People’s Council. He holds a doctorate in economics and a degree in advanced political theory.
