Developing stronger peasantry discussed

VTV.vn - On the third working day of the 12th National Party Congress, Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union Nguyen Quoc Cuong made a speech on building a strong Vietnamese peasantry.

In the speech, he stressed the important role of farmers for development in the great national unity bloc, while calling for significant changes in awareness and responsibility for agriculture, farmers, and rural areas.

Cuong noted that the position of farmers and rural areas are at risk of declining in status and economic role. He also proposed 8 solutions to solve these problems.
