HÀ NỘI – Vietnam National University – Hà Nội (VNU) retained its top spot in the Vietnamese rankings and was in 1090th place globally, up 216 steps from the last ranking announced in August 2018.
In the first Webometrics rankings of world universities in 2019, announced yesterday by the Cybermetrics Lab, a member of the Spanish National Research Lab, VNU ranked 19th in Southeast Asia, up six places. It was 261st in Asia, up 90 spots.
Among the four criteria, VNU has improved significantly in terms of the “Visibility” of its website and digital resources, from the 2,124th place in July 2018 to 1,164th.
It is followed by the Hà Nội University of Science and Technology (1,355th place), the Cần Thơ University (2,241st) and Tôn Đức Thắng University (2,680th).
VNU was featured in Group 801-1000 in the World University Rankings by the UK’s Quacquarelli Symonds for the first time in 2018, placing Viet Nam into the group of 85 countries with universities on the list. — Đạt
