| Two schoolboys drowned in the northern mountainous Yên Bái Province on Sunday |
YÊN BÁI — Two schoolboys, aged 6 and 9 years, reportedly drowned while playing in Khe Dài Stream in the northern mountainous province of Yên Bái’s Đồng Tâm Ward on Sunday afternoon.
According to an initial investigation, the two boys fell into the stream when they were playing nearby. The six-year-old boy studied at Nguyễn Trãi Primary School and the nine-year-old boy studied at Yên Ninh Primary School.
Local rescue teams discovered the bodies of the two boys at about 5pm on the same day, after a one-hour-long search.
Representatives from the locality visited the two boys’ houses to offer condolences to their families. — LV
