BÌNH THUẬN — Seven COVID-19 patients in the south-central coastal province of Bình Thuận have recovered and have been discharged from Bình Thuận Province General Hospital after testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times.
The patients, who were discharged on Friday, April 3, do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 such as coughing, fever, or breathing difficulties.
They will be quarantined and surveilled for the next 14 days, as required by the Ministry of Health.
Patients No. 34, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42 and 43 had tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 from March 10 to 12. They were then hospitalised and treated.
According to the Ministry of Health, three COVID-19 patients in HCM City on April 3 recovered and were discharged from Cần Giờ Hospital.
Cases No. 99, 100 and 121 in HCM City had tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times. They will be quarantined and surveilled for the next 14 days.
In Bình Thuận, Nguyễn Văn Thành, director of Bình Thuận Province Hospital, said the patients there were treated under the Ministry of Health’s protocols and assistance from Chợ Rẫy Hospital’s doctors in HCM City.
Patient No.37 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 three times, but has asked the hospital to allow her to continue to stay for further care of her son who is still being treated.
The hospital’s Department for Infectious Diseases still has two COVID-19 patients being treated. One of the two in the hospital tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 one time.
The province admitted its first COVID-19 patient on March 10. Eight more cases were admitted on March 11-12. After this, the province quarantined people who had had contact with these patients.
The province has not had a new COVID-19 patient in the last 22 days.
People living on two streets in Phan Thiết City’s Đức Thắng Ward are no longer under quarantine. There has been no new case on these streets after 21 days of quarantine. VNS
