QUẢNG NINH — Rescuers have saved six workers who were stranded in a coal mine after a collapse early on Tuesday morning.
The mine was in Tây Bắc Ngã Hai Coal Mine, Dương Huy Commune, the north-eastern province of Quảng Ninh.
The rescue team worked for 15 hours, between 3am to 6pm on Tuesday, to save the miners.
After being pulled out, three workers were in a stable condition, while three others were injured. The injured miners were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Local officials in Quảng Ninh Province went to the scene to direct the rescue forces.
According to initial investigations, the miners work for Company 35, belonging to the Đông Bắc Corporation, under the Ministry of National Defence.
The ministry is investigating the cause of the accident. — VNS
