HÀ NỘI — Thirty Vietnamese citizens who returned from Wuhan in China three weeks ago were discharged from hospital on Monday after finishing their quarantine period.
All of them are in stable conditions.
Speaking at a ceremony at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội, on behalf of the 30 people, Trần Đình Nhân, a lecturer at the Literature Faculty of the Huế University of Education, expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Health, doctors and organisations for taking care of them.
Phạm Ngọc Thạch, director of the hospital, said that after 21 days under quarantine, all 30 people were in good health and had tested negative for COVID-19.
Following instructions from Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and based on the citizens’ wishes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-operated with organisations to return the people from Wuhan, the centre of COVID-19 epidemic, to Việt Nam.
After entering the country, they received medical examinations based on regulations and were taken into quarantine. — VNS
