| A container truck was wrecked after hitting two cars, two motorbikes and a house on the stretch of National Route 1A in the central province of Thanh Hóa. The accident killed the truck driver and injured seven people. |
THANH HÓA — One person was killed and seven others were injured in a road accident in the central province of Thanh Hóa yesterday.
The deceased was a container truck driver, identified as Đào Đậu Tuấn, 40, from the northern province of Ninh Bình.
Tuấn’s truck hit two cars and two motorbikes while driving on a stretch of National Route 1A in Quảng Xương District, injuring four passengers in the cars and three on the motorbikes.
He then crashed into a local house on the side of the road, which caused the truck to flip over.
The three victims on motorbikes were taken to hospitals in critical conditions for emergency treatment.
They were identified as Lê Đức Tơ, 68; Nguyễn Văn Linh, 29, and his wife Nguyễn Thị Trang, 26. All are residents of Thanh Hóa.
