HÀ NỘI — The 2018 Northern Industry and Trade Fair kicked off in the northern province of Nam Định on Tuesday.
The fair features 350 stalls showcasing products of enterprises in manufacturing, handicrafts, commerce and services, foreign and domestic distribution, machinery and equipment. The enterprises hail from provinces and cities such as Tuyên Quang, Hải Dương, Hà Nội, Yên Bái and Nghệ An.
The fair also highlights the agricultural and industrial products of nearly 200 enterprises in Nam Định Province such as Nam Cường Fruit Cooperative, Nam Định Processing Foods and Seafood Joint Stock Company, and Nam Định Biochemical Joint Stock Company.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ngô Gia Tự, standing vice chairman of Nam Định Province People’s Committee, said the fair is an opportunity for enterprises in the province to promote products, seek partners and expand the market for goods in the northern provinces.
The event is also an opportunity for enterprises from other provinces to seek investment opportunities in Nam Định, thereby contributing to economic co-operation between the provinces and cities of the North.
