CẦN THƠ — The Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ will put 15 key projects with total investment of more than VNĐ2.1 trillion (US$90.4 million) into use in 2019, according to director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Nguyễn Văn Hồng.
Of the key projects, 10 have combined capital of more than VNĐ1.41 trillion ($60.7 million) sourced from the State budget, including the Nguyễn Văn Cừ road project in Mỹ Phong Điền District; the third phase of the embankment project to prevent erosion along the Ô Môn River in Ô Môn District; and the Châu Văn Liêm High school in Ninh Kiều District.The remaining received investments from non-State sources, including Cần Thơ cardiopulmonary general hospital project invested by Việt Cường Medical Investment Company with total capital of VNĐ400 billion ($17.2 million), which was put into operation in February 2019.
The resettlement project of the Lộ Vòng Cung historical relic site in Mỹ Khánh Commune in Phong Điền District, invested by the Hoa Lợi Construction Design Company with total capital of VNĐ155 billion ($6.7 million), is expected to be completed in December this year, while the Làng Sen market and rural residential area project in Vĩnh Thanh District, invested by the Bách Khoa Construction Joint Stock Company with total capital of VNĐ73.38 billion ($3.1 million), will be completed in the third quarter of 2019. — VNS
