HCM CITY — Global cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab has announced the appointment of Yeo Siang Tiong as its new general manager for the Southeast Asia region with a strategic focus on Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Việt Nam.

He joined the company on February 21 this year.

As he takes up the leadership role, Yeo will be responsible for further implementing the company’s strategic business vision for the region’s SMB (small and medium businesses) and enterprise markets and accelerating the growth of Kaspersky Lab’s industrial cybersecurity solutions and services across various sectors in all six countries.

He is a veteran sales and channel professional with over 20 years of experience across the information and communication technology sector in Southeast Asia and the APAC market.

Before joining Kaspersky Lab, he was the SMB and channel sales director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Singapore.

“In 2017 Southeast Asia achieved 12 per cent growth year-over-year, in line with the results of the APAC region growth, which was 11 per cent. This year, we’re looking to excel even further and I’m confident that with Yeo at the helm, we will be able to achieve an even larger growth in Southeast Asia, a very important region in APAC," Neumeier said.

He has an MBA in finance from Manchester University and an electronics engineering degree from the University of Singapore.

He replaces Sylvia Ng. — LV
