Japanese coast guard ship docks in Đà Nẵng
ĐÀ NẴNG — The Japanese coast guard ship Kojima docked at Tiên Sa Port yesterday for a visit to the central city of Đà Nẵng.
The ship’s crew of 80, led by Colonel Tonosaki Hironobu, will pay visits to the city and a regional maritime search and rescue co-ordination centre, and compete in a sporting exchange with the Việt Nam’s Coast Guard Zone 2 in Kỳ Hà Port, Quảng Nam Province.
The ship’s crew will also participate in the annual Việt Nam-Japan Culture Exchange at the city’s Rồng (Dragon) Bridge Park during the visit.

It’s the fifth time that the ship has visited the city.
Đà Nẵng plans to build a Japan-Việt Nam Culture Centre to boost cultural exchanges between Vietnamese and Japanese people.
Japan plans to open a Consulate Office in Đà Nẵng as a way to boost tourism and exchanges between Japan and the central city in the future.
Japanese businesses have invested US$465 million in 125 foreign direct investment projects in Đà Nẵng. — VNS
