HÀ TĨNH — The 2019 Month for Humanitarian Activities has been launched in the central province of Hà Tĩnh.
The month focuses on activities to build houses and provide free medical check-ups and medicines, and livelihood solutions for poor people, along with blood donation.
Organisations, enterprises and entrepreneurs and agencies have so far registered to donate aid worth over VNĐ5 billion (US$215,000) .
After the launching ceremony, the provincial chapter of the Việt Nam Red Cross Society (VRC) co-ordinated with the HCM Communist Youth Union of Hà Tĩnh to organise a voluntary blood donation day, attracting a large number of local youths.
