HCM CITY — Two people died and one was injured when an explosion occurred while they repairing a boat at An Phú shipyard on 18 Đào Trí Street in Phú Thuận Ward in HCM City’s District 7.
At about 8am on Friday, witnesses said they heard a big explosion in the repair area, where many people were working.
The city’s fire department quickly sent firefighters to the scene.
The two dead were identified as Lê Minh Tiến, 59, from Sóc Trăng Province and Huỳnh Văn Quý, 50, from Long An Province. The injured were taken to the hospital.
The police are continuing their investigation.
