It currently has eight lanes in the An Phú – Long Thành section and six in the Long Thành – Dầu Giây section.
According to the Việt Nam Expressway Services Engineering Joint Stock Company (VEC E), the volume of traffic in the expressway is increasing day by day.
In 2015 it was used by nearly 10 million vehicles, but in just three years, in 2018, the number increased by 50 per cent to 15 million.
In the first quarter of this year four million vehicles plied on it, and there were 22 instances of traffic congestion, 16 of them on the Long Thành to HCM City side. – VNS
