HCM CITY — GameChangers, a team of five young programmers, has won the first KMS Hackathon championship with its intelligent virtual chat and job consultancy solution.

The virtual robot chat app that helps students and employees orient their careers and get acquainted with job interview situations won a cash prize of US$3,000.

The product is built with an intelligent chatbot, powered by an AI-machine learning and integrated into Facebook.

When users provide their information, the application automatically analyses and generates questionnaires for mock interviews based on their level of expertise and experience, enabling users to practise their critical thinking and interviewing skills.

It also provides recommendations that help users identify weaknesses.

The first runner-up prize of $2,000 went to team Infection’s job search and career orientation website for students and blue-collar workers.

The second runner-up prize of $1,000 went to Awesomium’s job-seeking app for manual workers.

The programming competition, organised by KMS Technology Vietnam on July 14-15, gave away total prizes of $10,000 and offered the opportunity to seeking investment from both domestic and foreign investors.

It attracted more than 500 participants from tech companies, start-ups and universities in HCM City. — VNS
